Abstract


ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the use of websites and software on independent learning activities in German language. The research was conducted at State University of Malang, precisely on the students of German language study program. This research used descriptive quantitative research method by using survey approach. The instrument used is a questionnaire. This study are extracted some detailed information on (1) the use of websites on independent learning activities in German language, as well as language skills most frequently learned when using the website; (2) the use of software on independent learning activities in German language, as well as language skills that are often learned when using the software. The results of this study are as follows: (1) the students have used the website on independent learning activities in German language, while the most learned language skills when using the website is the speaking skill (64%); and (2) the students have used the software on independent learning activities in German langguage, while the most learned language skills when using software is also the speaking skill (70%).
