Abstract

Abstract: In language testing field of study, it has been widely known that reliability is claimedto have significant roles on defining test quality. Therefore, this study aimed toanalyze the internal consistency reliability of TOEFL Equivalent Test at EnglishIntensive Course State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This studyinvolved sample of 183 EFL students. Firstly, each correct answers was sum up.Secondly, the data was split half into odds and evens. Thirdly, data was processed byusing Pearson Product Moment and Spearman-brown Formula. The last, the internalconsistency reliability value is obtained 0,98, using 0,01 - 1,00 international scale.Thus, the internal consistency reliability value of TOEFL Equivalent Test at EnglishIntensive Course is considered as having high correlation.Key Words: Internal Consistency Reliability, Split-half, Pearson Product
