What skills do the learners need today? The learners are expected to have these skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, information literacy, technology literacy, and many more. In order to help the learners to acquire those skills, the teacher should be able to be the role model as well as the facilitator. The sophisticated forms in teaching is needed to develop students’ skills as we mentioned before. Effective professional development (PD) is also needed to help teachers learn and refine the pedagogies required to teach these skills. This professional development can be used in supporting changes in teacher practices and student learning.
