Abstract: Along with the advancement of the era then the way of teaching the character mustalso be able to adjust to the level of progress of knowledge and also the technology. One ofthe things that should always be well formed is the character of students. The characters canbe formed through their habits and environment. In order to teach the character can berealized then must use a way that is also being popular among students, namely by readingthe popular literary works. The popular literature that became the data of this research is anovel entitled Remember When "When You and I Fall" by Winna Efendi. The theory used toanalyze the theory of Sociology literature (mimetic). While the research method used isqualitative descriptive. The purpose of the study is to describe the character of the charactersthat can be adopted in the life of students after reading the popular novel. The result ofcharacter analysis in this research is that the teenagers can live simple, do not hate the poorsociety, do not pass the relationship beyond the limits, easy to forgive, diligent study,independent, healthy life, and can solve the problem well without despair. From the results ofthis study is expected students can take advantage of the passion in reading popular novels tobuild personality on a regular basis. Because basically literature is a reflection of life that canchange the habits of society by raising a variety of characters from the characters. Selectionof popular literature as a source of data is because the reading has a simple storyline andlanguage is easy to understand.
