Abstract
The demand for MSME halal products has increased significantly in every region, this is inseparable from the role of MSME producers as providers of halal products. In this study, the object of research was producers from UMKM in the Bangkalan Madura region. This research was conducted on producers to find out what factors influence the decision of halal certification. This study aims to determine the process of MSME producers in Bangkalan to obtain halal certification from the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) using a multiple linear regression approach through the variables of religiosity, knowledge, understanding, and certification costs. The results of this study are: religiosity has no significant effect on the decision of halal certification by MSME producers in Bangkalan. While the variables of knowledge, understanding, and certification costs have a significant effect on the decision of halal certification by MSME producers. Based on these results, it is necessary to carry out further research to identify other factors that will encourage MSME producers to process and decide to be halal certified.
