Abstract


Purpose: This research aims to  examined the impact of talent management practice on achieving sustainable competitive advantage as well as the mediating effect of engagement. Methods: This paper used quantitative approaches, while a questionnaire was used to collect data from the target population. A simple random and purposive sampling approach was used in this study, while the research sample consisted of 73 respondents. Data analysis: Partial least squares–structural equation modeling was used to evaluate the study hypotheses through a bootstrapping approach the research unit of analysis consists of strewwerry generation. Result and discussion: Results show a significant direct impact of TMP on SCA. Likewise, the results also show a substantial impact of all three dimensions of TMP (attraction, development and retention) on SCA. Results confirm that engagement positively mediates between TMP and SCA. Conclusion: This study enhances the understanding of Talent Management Practice's  role in improving the Sustainable Competitive Advantage. The findings imply that an engagement also elevates the SCA.
