Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the utilization of hot flue gas from the flame of an LPG-fueled stove, by varying the thickness of the conductor plate made of aluminum. The hot gas from the flame that has been wasted so far is used to produce electrical energy. The technology for utilizing wasted heat energy uses a thermoelectric module. The thermoelectric module converts hot gas into electrical energy by utilizing the principle of the Seebeck effect, converting the temperature difference into electrical energy. The heat source comes from the LPG stove. The thermoelectric used is the TEGSP 1848 type using a heat sink and air fan. The test results show that the thickness of the aluminum plate as a heat conductor affects the voltage output of the Thermoelectric. The test results, a plate with a thickness of 3 mm produces 10.6 volts for 5 minutes, a plate thickness of 4mm produces 14.3 v for 5 minutes, a plate with a thickness of 5mm produces 9.4 volts for 5 minutes.
