Goat Etawa cross breed (PE) is a dual purpose between meat type and dairy type. To improve the productivity of goat PE in Indonesia it is necessary to select the performance characteristics of Goats based on phenotype and genetic profile analysis. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of phenotypic performance and genetic profile of goat of PE in Malang. Descriptive research method. Sample of 16 goat aged two years old. Parameters measured by the productivity of body dimensions and genetic profile analysis using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD).  Result of research: average body weight 39,82 kg, height 71,06 cm, body length 75,69 cm, chest circumference 67,82 cm, ear length 26,63 cm and ear width 8,69 cm, length of tail 15,36 cm, hip width 18,13 cm, hip height 72,75 cm and result of genetic profile analysis potential genes of meat type equal to 75%, while milk production potential equal to 62,5%. The conclusion of research result that goat PE is goat dual type which tends to be meat type.
