Abstract

This research aims : 1). To find out how students of the Islamic Economics at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya manage their work and study time. 2). To find out the type of work that is usually carried out by students of the Islamic Economics UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. 3). To find out the obstacles and actions of students of the Islamic Economics at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya who study while working part-time. 4). To find out the factors that cause students of the Islamic Economics at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya to study while working part time. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. To get the data, the researcher used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The sources of this research data are several students of the Islamic Economics study program at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. And lastly, the data processing and analysis techniques that the researcher uses are: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted, it is known that to manage work and study time it is necessary to have proper time management. The types of work that students usually do are teaching, barista, trader, school teacher and other jobs. However, the majority of the work done by students of the Islamic Economics study program is teaching tutoring. The obstacle to working part time is that there are often conflicting schedules. The solution that is usually done by students is to record all schedules so that problems can be overcome.
