Abstract
Learning strategy is the art of carrying out teaching and learning activities so that it can build student enthusiasm in receiving the material. Teachers have a central role in learning strategies, namely as compilers and implementers of these learning strategies. This research is library research that examines texts written by Faiz bin Abdul Karim bin Muhammad Faiz regarding effective learning strategies. The purpose of this research is to gather information about the effective learning strategies used by previous teachers, it is hoped that the information gathering and writing of this article can be used as a reference for teachers in processing learning in the classroom. After conducting this research, the researchers found 13 (thirteen) learning strategies that are still relevant when applied today, including 1) learning strategies by providing good examples to students, 2) the education taught must be sourced from the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah Prophet, 3) creating comfortable classroom conditions for students, 4) learning strategies by telling stories, 5) learning strategies by giving advice, 6) learning strategies by habituation, 7) education through social programs, 8) learning processes that are full of humility, 9) educate students by keeping promises, 10) education by research and information gathering, 11) education by using useful commands, 12) education by responding to events around the environment, 13) education by involving students in competitions.
