Abstract


Abstract: In teaching writing for EFL students, it is necessary to build up their sense of English by encouraging them to write daily. Be it in formal writing activity or informal one. By writing daily, students presumably are able to sharpen their ability and knowledge in writing. Moreover, they will be more fluent in expressing their ideas into written form. Yet, recent studies show some challenges in teaching writing for EFL learners, especially in Indonesia. The challenges commonly occur due to some reasons like the limited time allotment, the students’ anxiety to write, and the teachers’ feedback which merely looking at the students’ writing organization. Therefore, this conceptual paper aimed at portraying the advantages of using dialogue journal writing in promoting EFL students’ writing ability.
