Abstract: In this research, the researcher implemented Searly’ speech act, it consisted of commisive act,declarative act, expressive act, directive act, and aseertive act.Regarding of research technique, theresearcher used descriptive qualitative technique with two kinds of speech as subject of the research.Beside that, method of collecting the data used recording, transcribing, tabulating and concluding anddata analysis used identifying, categorizing and interpreting.Futhermore, the result of my research were 66 types of speech acts implemented by DonaldTrump. He delivered 19 times (28,78%) of Assertive acts, 25 times (37,87%) of expressive acts, 10(15,15%) of directive acts,12 (18,18%) of commisive acts and there was no declarative act found byresearcher. Meanwhile, Jokowi delivered 38 type of speech acts such as expressive acts 5 times (13.15%), once (2.63%) of declarative acts, 19 times ( 50%) of assertive acts, 7 times(18.42%) of directiveacts, 6 times (15.78%) of commisive acts. So the highest of speech act type appeared from both wasassertive acts and the lowest was declarative acts.Keywords: Descriptive qualitative research, Leader of speech, Speech acts theory.
