Abstract

This study aims to find out how significant the influence of STAD cooperative model with picture card media to activities and cognitive abilities of grade 4 students of primary school. The type of research used was pre-experimental with a pretest-pottest one-group design. The subject of the research is the fourth grade of SDN 02 Pandean Madiun, amounting to 30 students. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis with the help of program SPSS 21 for windows. The results showed the average value of student activities (pretest) is 66.13 experienced improvement after treatment, student activities (posttest) is 80.93. Based on t test result, it shows that value thitung (10.109)>ttabel (1,699) with significance value 0,000 <0,005. This means that there is influence of STAD learning model with picture card media to student activities. As for results the second hypothesis, it is known that the average cognitive ability of students (pretest) is 71.67 experienced improvement after treatment, cognitive ability of students (posttest) is 82.67. Based on t test result, it shows that value thitung (7,696)> ttabel (1,699) with significance value 0,000 <0,005. This means that there is influence of STAD learning model with picture card media to students' cognitive ability.
