Abstract
This study aims to determine the practicality of Mini Lab by using Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) strategy to improve students' concept understanding of elementary school on nature of light. One way to improve students' understanding of the concept is to do effective learning with practical tools. Learning tool is said to be practical if the teacher can implement the lesson with the category implemented quite well and the activity of students with enough active category. The subjects of this study were 14 fourth graders of elementary school in the even semester of 2017/2018. The results of this study is the implementation of learning that obtained the category performed well and the activities of students obtain the active category
