Abstract

Many students think that writing is the most difficult course. They do not have interest in writing.Some reasons that makes them do not have interest in writing are they have lack of practice, afraid in making mistakes, difficult of choosing  the correct word, lack of vocabulary, and limited in grammar understanding. The aim of this paper is to explain about the use of reflective journal writing that can solve the student’s difficulties of writing. This selected technique is the best way for students to deal with the problems above. The quantitative data result show all of the 19 items questionnaires got very high rating, that reflective journal writing can stimulated student’s critical thinking, help motivation, and developing confidence.
