Abstract


 

Abstrac

The purpose of this research is to find the influence of the application of model cooperative learning type CORE with metacognitive strategy to critical thinking skill and student learning result on the theme of 8 districts where I live, the subthemes of my fourth grade SD Negeri Pejagan 5 Madura. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design research design. The dependent variables in this research are critical thinking skills and learning result. While the independent variable is CORE type cooperative learning model with metacognitive strategy. The subjects were IVA and IVB SD Negeri Pejagan 5 Madura, amounting to 42 students. Technique of collecting data in this research is observation and test. The technique of data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis with the help of SPSS program for windows version 17. The result of research shows that cooperative learning model of CORE type with metacognitive strategy influence to critical thinking skill and learning result. Cooperative learning model of CORE type with metacognitive strategy have an effect on student's critical thinking skill which is shown by Thitung value equal to 7,245 ≥ Ttabel 2,011. Cooperative learning model of CORE type with metacognitive strategy have an effect on student's learning result shown by value of Thitung equal to 2,527 ≥ Ttabel 2,011 and significance value 0,016 <0,05. It means that cooperative learning model of CORE type with metacognitive strategy has significant effect to critical thinking skill and student learning result.
