Abstract


ABSTRACT

This research aims to know the effect of inquiry learning method with audio visual media toward critical thinking skills and toward learning result of fourth grade students of Elementary School. This research was conducted in SDN Pejagan 5 Bangkalan, Madura with research subject are fourth grade students. class IV A as experimental class and class IV B as control. The type of research conducted is experimental research is pretest-postest control group design. The reseach data was obtained as follows:critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class is better than student in the control class. This is shown with ttest score (8,539)> ttable (2,011) so,  there are effect of inquiry learning method with audio visual media toward student’s critical thinking skill.As for hypothesis testing was showed that student learning results in experiment class is higher than in the control class. This is indicated by the tcount (2,185)> ttable (2,011) So, there are effect of inquiry learning method with audio visual media  to students learning result. Based on the discussion of the results research, concluded that inquiry learning method with audio visual has an effect to student critical thinking skills and student learning result in significant.
