About the Conference
The 7th International Conference on English Language Teaching (ICON-ELT 2026) is an international academic forum organized by the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Islam Malang, Indonesia. This conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners from around the world to share insights, research findings, and innovative practices in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT).
With the theme “Transforming ELT through Technology and Eco-ELT: Promoting Inclusive, Sustainable, and Lifelong Learning,” ICON-ELT 2026 highlights the urgent need to integrate technological advancement and environmental awareness into language education. The conference promotes discussions on how ELT can adapt to global challenges while fostering inclusive and sustainable learning environments. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format (onsite and online), allowing broader international participation. It is scheduled to take place on November 4–5, 2026, at Universitas Islam Malang, Indonesia.
ICON-ELT 2026 features distinguished keynote speakers from Indonesia and internationally recognized institutions, providing diverse perspectives on ELT in the digital and global era. In addition, invited speakers and parallel sessions will offer opportunities for participants to engage in meaningful academic exchange and networking.

Selected papers will have the opportunity to be published in Scopus-indexed journals (TBA), SINTA 2 indexed journals, and conference proceedings with e-ISSN, supporting the dissemination of high-quality research. Through this conference, we aim to foster collaboration, inspire innovation, and contribute to the advancement of English language teaching in a rapidly changing world.
